Anna Dougherty is an up and coming fashion designer living in New York City, originally from Eastern North Carolina and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Anna graduated from Meredith College with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Design, concentrating in Design.

While at Meredith, Anna interned with Judah Ross, a Raleigh-based women’s clothing company focused on sustainability. She also studied in Paris at the Paris American Academy during the summer of 2012. Through the program, Anna worked backstage at several shows during Fashion Week including Basil Soda, Alexis Mabille, Songzio, Bernhard Willhelm, and Walter Van Beirendonck. She had one of her garments chosen to be displayed in the Artistry in Design: Visual Connections exhibition at Meredith College. Anna showcased her senior collection, La Vie Est Belle, in April 2013.

In the fall of 2015, Anna showcased her designs in the *fashionSPARK show in Raleigh, NC.  Her collection for *fashionSPARK was inspired by the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris.  She designed original prints from photographs from her travels.  Anna also designed two looks for the Couture for a Cause fashion show in Raleigh, NC.  Her pieces for this show were inspired by local nonprofit, PLM Families Together, a group that provides housing for homeless families.  In the spring of 2016, Anna designed an original look for Raleigh's Model's For Charity Annual Fashion Show that was inspired by the 1920s.

Most recently, Anna showed her designs in *fashionSPARK 2016 and Couture for a Cause 2016.  For *fashionSPARK, Anna debuted her HOMETOWN collection inspired by Pittsburgh.  This collection features original prints designed from the Pittsburgh landscape, specifically the Roberto Clemente Bridge.  Anna's looks for Couture for a Cause were inspired by Note In The Pocket, a Raleigh-based nonprofit that provides clothing to children in need.

Additionally, Anna was proud to outift the 2016 North Carolina Rose, Maigan Kennedy, during her time at the Rose of Tralee International Festival in Tralee, Ireland.

She is currently working on free-lance fashion projects and is open to full-time positions within the fashion industry.
